Tongue/ Lip Tie Corrections
Approximately 4-10% of children are born with some degree of a tongue-tie or lip-tie.
A tongue-tie or lip-tie means that their tongue and lips are attached to the mouth with excessive connective tissue webbing.
This excess tissue impedes the movement of the tongue or lips to various degrees, and may be responsible for minor inconveniences such as the inability to lick an ice cream cone, or more severe impairments such as problems with breastfeeding, eating, or speech.
The relationship between a mother and her baby is so important. If you are having trouble nursing your baby, please inquire about the possibility that your child may have a lip or tongue tie. A quick procedure could eliminate the pain and frustration you may be having while trying to feed your child.
“Just had our five month old’s tongue and lips ties corrected. The staff made the whole process so easy and comfortable. The laser procedure took but a couple minutes and a couple minutes later he was back to a happy little boy. Couldn’t have had a better experience.”
