Approximately 4-10% of children are born with some degree of frenulum restriction, also known as tongue-tie or lip-tie. This means that their tongue and lips are attached to the mouth with excessive connective tissue webbing.

This excess tissue impedes the movement of the tongue or lips to various degrees, and may be responsible for minor inconveniences such as the inability to lick an ice cream cone, or more severe impairments such as problems with breastfeeding, eating, or speech.

There are many benefits to having the revision done for the benefit of your child at any age, not just for babies even adults as well. We utilize the Solea dental laser for the corrective procedure in our office, this makes for a quick and comfortable recovery for the patient!

“Just had our five month old’s tongue and lips ties corrected. The staff made the whole process so easy and comfortable. The laser procedure took but a couple minutes and a couple minutes later he was back to a happy little boy. Couldn’t have had a better experience.”
